Lucasfilm® is using Verilux® lighting in their film archives and the Walt Disney Company is using Verilux® in their costume storage areas. The UV light cast by regular fluorescent lights can cause irreparable damage and Verilux® UV filter lighting was the perfect solution.

Verilux® is the official lighting supplier to Sugarbush Ski Resort. Since opening in 1958, Sugarbush Resort has been favored by outdoor enthusiasts seeking a quality outdoor experience in pristine surroundings. Verilux® was a natural choice for bringing the outdoor experience indoors.

In order to replicate their natural habitat as closely as possible, the Bronx Zoo is using Verilux® lighting in the reptile house and the Shed Aquarium in Chicago is using Verilux® lighting for similar reasons.

Why we care

In the past few years, I have replaced the majority of the fluorescent tubes in the Metropolitan Museum's main painting galleries with some 2,000 Verilux lamps. When the weather is overcast and on Tuesday and Friday when the Met is open, the beneficent influence of the Verilux tubes is apparent; the ambient lighting has a very "natural" feel.
