How CleanWave^® Works

Using the same UV sanitizing technology  that’s been used for over 30 years in hospitals, food processing facilities and water treatment plants, CleanWave’s germ reducing  light can penetrate a micro-organism’s cell membrane damaging the DNA, preventing growth and killing the organism.

Laboratory proven to eliminate up to 99.9% of MRSA, and H1N1 in 1 second‡

The CleanWave is laboratory tested on hard surfaces to eliminate up to 99% of Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) and Influenza A/Swine Flu/Iowa Swine Flu (H1N1). It also combats certain molds and allergens without chemicals or liquids.**

†Based on exposure of UV-C light to bed bug eggs, viruses and bacteria in the laboratory under controlled conditions. May be less effective when used on pile carpets and certain fabric surfaces. UV-C effectiveness depends on direct exposure duration and intensity and must shine on organism to be effective. Recommended as part of a total bed bug solution. In the event of bed bug infestation, a qualified pest exterminator should be contacted.

**Direct UV-C Light exposure is effective on certain allergen producing organisms such as Mold A and dust mite eggs. HEPA-12 filtration can trap pet dander and mold spores.
‡Based on exposure of UV-C light to test organisms in laboratory on non-porous hard surface, under controlled conditions. MRSA refers to Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus ATCC 33592. During testing, culture organisms showed a 99.9% reduction in MRSA and a 98.7% reduction of the H1N1 virus on surfaces in 1 second. The H1N1 culture organism showed further reduction of 99.9% after a 5 second exposure.
