Sanitizing with Light

Sanitizing with light is not new, but the residential application of it is leading edge. For more than 30 years, ultra violet light UV-C light has been used to sanitize in hospitals, food processing facilities, water treatment and HVAC systems. Chemical-free, odorless UV C light sanitizes biological pollutants, viruses, odor-causing bacteria, certain molds and other allergens such as pest eggs like bed bug, flea and dust mite eggs. By penetrating a micro-organism’s cell membrane and damaging the DNA, the ultraviolet light prevents growth and kills the organism.
